The Town of Farmington is updating its Plan of Conservation and Development (POCD), which will serve as the Town’s guiding document for land use and development decisions through 2038. This update will build upon the foundation of the previous plans, incorporating new data and community input to create a vision for Farmington’s future over the next decade.
The POCD update process is led by the Town of Farmington in partnership with the consultants Weston & Sampson and Resilient Land & Water. The planning team will analyze historic trends, current conditions, and projections for the future, while assisting the Town with gathering input from residents through workshops, surveys, and focused discussions with community members. Together these different elements of the planning process will inform the overarching goals, objectives, and actions the Town can set to achieve the community’s long-term vision.
Please check back on this site for future updates, opportunities to get involved, and ways to share your ideas and feedback as we work together to shape Farmington’s future!

COMMUNITY SURVEY NOW UNDERWAY!
As a first step in the POCD process, we are seeking input from residents, businesses, and other stakeholders. Your feedback will help us understand what is working well in Farmington today, what could be improved, and where the Town should be headed over the next 5, 10, to 20 years.
